Mr. Adams' opera and musical stage credits range from Handel to Sondheim, and include Lucrezia Borgia (Opera Boston), Carmen (Granite State Opera), Romeo et Juliette (PORTopera), Tosca (San Francisco Lyric Opera), Cosi fan tutte (Apollo Opera), The Magic Flute (Livermore Valley Opera), Acis and Galatea (Blue Hill Bach), Trouble in Tahiti (Goat Hall Opera), The Medium and The Telephone (SOLO Opera), Die Fledermaus and The New Moon (New England Light Opera), The Desert Song (Maine State Music Theater), South Pacific (Boothbay Playhouse), Bright Star (Lincoln Theater), and Sweeney Todd and A Little Night Music (Heartwood Regional Theater Company). He sang the U.S. premier of Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Simplicius Simplicissimus in San Francisco, and created the role of Marino in Daughter of the Cabinet, Berkeley Opera’s timely political adaptation of Charles LeCoq’s La Fille de Madame Angot.
In addition to musical stage roles, Mr. Adams has extended his acting skills to the dramatic stage, with leading roles in such works as Chekov's Uncle Vanya, Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, Michael Frayn's Copenhagen, and Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
